As you will understand I receive a great deal of email and sometimes do not have the time that I would like to reply in detail. Browsing the following FAQ's my be of help to you in the first instance.

Opening times of the memorial and document centre:

The Bergen Belsen memorial site itself is never closed and is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The document centre opening times are as follows:

April till September: Daily from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
October till March: Daily from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
(except December 24th, 25th, 26th, 31st and January 1st)

Survivor research:

This site is primarily designed to concentrate on the concentration camp itself, the camp staff and the liberators. If you wish to carry out some research into particular prisoners please contact the Bergen - Belsen foundation directly.

Information on members of the liberation:

The information I hold on members of the liberating staff is as shown, I do not hold any further information.

If you have any additional information with regards to members of the liberating staff, I will most certainly include their names and details on the site so that they receive proper recognition for their deeds. Please note however that I require evidence of their involvement prior to doing so.

If you wish to find more information about family members that may have been part of the liberating force, you may be able to request a copy of their service records from the Army Personnel Centre.
