Conscripted into the Wehrmacht in 1940 Autumn 1941 - February 1944 Office Comanding Landensschützenbatalion in Ukraine Transferred to the reserve list after a stay in hospital for a heart condition Arrived in Bergen-Belsen in July 1944 Left Bergen-Belsen 12 April 1945 and transferred to a Battle Group in Marsch, Schleswig-Holstein 17 May 1945 interned by the British and released by error 19 September 1947 11 February 1948 re arrested and detained in Hamburg Altona 16 April 1948 sentenced to Life imprisonment at 3rd Belsen Trial held at Hamburg. 04 May 1948 sentence confirmed 03 February 1950 sentenced reduced to 21 years Released 24 December 1954.
